Joanna and Tyler’s story began in a very modern way- on Hinge- but it didn’t take long for their connection to feel anything but ordinary. Tyler’s first impression of Joanna came from a standout moment on her profile: a video of her confidently showing off her skills at the shooting range with her .380. It was unexpected, memorable, and unmistakably her. Joanna felt a spark too, and instead of waiting, she made the first move and reached out. Their first date at Libertee Grounds in Philadelphia was only supposed to be a casual lunch and mini golf, but it quickly turned into something much more. What began as food and conversation turned into an eight-hour adventure, wandering through the streets of Philadelphia and into Bryn Mawr, talking about everything and nothing, and realizing just how naturally they fit together. The night ended the best way possible: sharing pizza and not wanting the day to end. From the very beginning, Joanna and Tyler bonded over their shared values, strong morals, and deep faith- creating a foundation that only grew stronger with time. Along the way, Joanna accomplished something especially meaningful: she turned Tyler into a cat person (with a little help from Nemo, of course 🐈). What started as a simple swipe became a friendship, then a partnership, and ultimately a lifelong commitment. On February 7, 2026, Tyler asked Joanna to spend forever with him, and she said absolutely! They can’t wait to continue serving God together and see what plans He has for them.
