Joanna and Michael met through a mutual friend the summer of 2006. Coincidentally, in 2007, they both attended Penn State University. By chance, not only was their PSU orientation the same day, they were also assigned to the same “new student” group! As fate would have it, Joanna and Michael soon learned they were enrolled in the same class their first semester. They then began spending a lot of time together! (wink, wink) By second semester, Joanna and Michael were dating and the rest is history!
Michael proposed to Joanna on Friday, November 18, 2016. Here's how it happened... They each took the afternoon off from work with plans to tour the MoMA, stroll through Bryant Park, and grab an early dinner. They decided to go home first to freshen up for dinner. Joanna was surprised to find the apartment unusually tidy. Michael explained that he had invited friends over later that evening so he straightened up before leaving for work. Dinner at Sea Fire Grill was delicious although Michael did seem a bit preoccupied! When they returned home…well, you already know what happened…it was amazing! The apartment was glowing by candlelight and rose petals were sprinkled throughout. While a camera captured it all, Michael got down on one knee and proposed. And, while Joanna didn't think the proposal could be any more beautiful or more perfectly romantic, Michael had one more surprise up his sleeve. Their families and friends were waiting upstairs in the rooftop lounge to celebrate with them! It was one of the happiest days of our lives and we cannot wait until our wedding day! Planning our wedding is beyond exciting. We still have lots to do but here's an update thus far. Stay tuned...there's more to come! Joanna & Michael
