She sings, she dances, she falls and sometimes cannot get up. She would be the world's best triple solitaire player if she could just see her dang cards. When we sat down and thought about who should officiate our wedding, we really wanted someone inspiring, deep, and thoughtful. Someone who can ride a roller coaster while straightening their hair, speak a little German, and sniff out a good caramelized porkchop a mile away. Joanna’s aunt, Kate “I can’t find my keys” Martin, was the obvious choice.

She has class, she has taste, she and Joanna have the same face. Yes! Lucy is Joanna's sister and they are mistaken for one another frequently. But Lucy is so much more than Joanna's sister. She is younger than Joanna, cooler than Joanna, less embarrassing than Joanna, and a better dancer than Joanna. You may think "wow, she has it all!" and you'd be right, she does have it all. We are so thrilled that she agreed to be in the entourage and doesn't think it's weird or cringe.

Sydney and Matt are the reason we met—which means they are also directly responsible for you being invited to this wedding. Sydney, an orchestrater of fate, engineered the first encounter at the most romantic destination imaginable: Becker Furniture. Between the reasonably priced sectionals and the blinding overhead lighting, it was love at first sight for Joanna and Luke. Sydney and Matt also happen to be White Bear Lake dive bar royalty (a title not given lightly). Drop their names and you’re bound to hear some stories. **EDIT: Matt was hurt that this bio didn’t talk about his accolades and accomplishments in further detail- Don’t worry Matt, everyone is bound to notice how remarkable, clever, funny, and very humble you are.

Lizzie • Recognized in the newspaper for her highly competitive cup stacking career in like 2005 • Emerging and notable snake girl (she has pet snakes, not the superpower of snakes) • Her drink of choice is a dirty, wet, martini, stirred 🤢 Noah • Starred as the realtor in an episode of House Hunters "Picky in Milwaukee"—arguably the most famous person in this wedding party • Known for being effortlessly hilarious • Recognizable by his BLONDE hair and love for sea creatures Lizzie and Noah's style, fame, and hotness will blow you away and their presence will undoubtedly elevate our big day.

On a given Friday night, you might catch Luke and JP playing hockey and getting into fights with high schoolers, while Joanna and Kimber deliver ESPN-level commentary and have one too many Carblisses in the stands. Kimber and JP are already family, but even if they weren't, we would choose them as family. We give each other advice, we give each other clothes, and we give each other a few choice words at the boat launch*. *Any seasoned boater will tell you that if you haven't fought at the boat launch, you have never launched a boat.

On the eve of Valentine’s Day 2025, JT and Luke decided to try something new: ice camping. For those unaware, this involves dragging an ice-fishing tent onto a frozen lake and sleeping out there, I guess…. It was negative degrees, the heater broke, and they woke up side-by-side at sunrise on Valentine’s Day morning. Much to Joanna and Jennah’s dismay, the boys decided the experience was fun and now ice camp as often as possible. For now, Joanna and Jennah will stick to hobbies that involve a little more sophistication, comfort, and basic survival.

One of them wears glasses and has gone to Colombia and Harvard, the other wears glasses and plays guitar in a band - it's up to you to figure out who is who. Here's a hint: one of them has cats and the other has a cat. Cheyenne and Bailey are like if a crime fighting duo wore glasses. If ketchup and mustard could wear glasses. If you see them at our wedding, they might be wearing glasses.

Noelle and Dutch sound like they belong in a fairytale, once you meet them, you'll realize the whimsical and adventurous pair truly do belong in fairytale. Noelle and Dutch have recently moved from the sunny west coast to the frigid Midwest. They have traveled through blistering winds and scorching deserts- they climbed to the highest room in the tallest tower just to be closer to Luke and Joanna. We feel so honored to have the lord and lady in attendance!

Sophia and Joanna go all the way back to second grade—though Sophia insists it began with Joanna shooting her “evil eyes” from across their desks. Any tension didn’t last long. A shared love of horses, webkinz, and Shrek quickly turned them into best friends. Over the next two decades, their lives filled with adventure, escapades, and tomfoolery, securing a forever bond. Then came Austin: a proud Broncos fan from New Mexico, with fiery hair and a personality to match. Bold, spirited, and all-in, he’s the perfect partner for Sophia and we are so happy to have him around.

Ryan is not known to say no to a fight, a challenge, or a bet (especially with Luke). Ryan approaches life competitively and is ready for anything. However, despite his fearless reputation, we have discovered a known weakness: touching fish Cianna- Beautiful, strong and significantly more composed than her significant other. She is not only also competitive, but we theorize that the only one tougher than Ryan is Cianna. In summary, I'd think twice before competing with this dynamic duo.

Rob and Kenna have been together since high school- they've survived their teenage relationship, marriage, two kids, and they've decided to keep Luke through all of it and have warmly welcomed Joanna to the mix. Kenna is an extremely talented artist when it comes to doing hair. Kenna is fierce and confident, she tells it like it is and looks amazing doing it. Rob is king of the Ford dealership and has the calm and grounded aura to balance Kenna perfectly. He is steady and consistent in his relationship and as a father AND steady and consistently making fun of Luke.

Jade and Jesse were an easy pick for our entourage. A bond that only co-parenting 8 French bulldogs under one roof can forge. Over the years they have been our golfing partners, guitar hero bandmates, and “let’s all go out on New Year’s Eve” and then get covid together friends. Unfortunately, Jesse is unable to make our wedding, he was picked as a finalist in the international Usher karaoke competition. While he will be missed, we are so happy to have Jade with us on our big day. She was also picked as a finalist for the international Usher karaoke competition, but she opted to come to our wedding instead.

John and Luke are close like brothers and fight like an old married couple. They met in high school pottery class, where their work was so distinctively terrible, their teacher could quickly pick it out without hesitation. Lots of fishing and, on special occasions, a trip to Walmart - their friendship is pure rural Wisconsin at its finest. We are so happy that sweet, beautiful Kanen is a part of John's life. Hopefully Joanna and Kanen will be able to whip these country boys into shape and have them looking polished on the wedding day.
