We understand that due to the nature of COVID, you may need to wait until the last minute to RSVP. The sooner you can let us know, the better we can prepare to host you. Please RSVP no later than April 22.
In lieu of gifts, please consider helping us during our wedding weekend by participating in meal prep and clean up Friday dinner, Saturday or Sunday breakfast or Saturday lunch. Or, consider helping with decorations. Truly, though, we consider your presence at our celebration the most valuable gift. Thank you for spending your time and money to come celebrate with us!
Please feel free to come on out to Tierra anytime on Saturday and enjoy the property. If you'll be there for lunch or breakfast, we'll feed you. Just let us know you'll be coming. A hike or walk will likely happen late morning or early afternoon. If you don't plan to join us for any of these, please arrive around 3:30/3:45. Very likely we'll have beer and wine available.
Please bring a mask. We will have some available as well. Mask up whenever you are within 6 feet of another person or indoors. Ian and Joanna will be in traditional wedding attire, more or less. But please dress up to your comfort. And be sure to bring socks or casual shoes for square dancing! Because we'll be in the woods into the evening hours, we recommend bringing layers. Fleece and down jackets are welcome.
Yes, of course we'd love for you to bring a date if you've received a single invitation. Just let us know they are coming no later than April 22.
Yes. Kids are welcome. We already know that there will be some children present ages 2 to 15. There is a kids play room in the lodge with some toys and games available as well as a quiet "reading library" for those who need it.
You can stay with us at Tierra (basic rooms with a queen bed and a queen pull-out couch for $150 a night). We would love that! But if you prefer, you can stay in town in Leavenworth. Some of the Dunn family will be staying at the Enzian Inn. Most out-of-town guests will be staying with us at Tierra so we can celebrate and enjoy each other's company all weekend long!
Yes, particularly if it could create a medical emergency. Although we do recommend that you bring an epi-pen just in case. We are in a remote area at least 20 minutes from the nearest clinic. Please include your food allergy information when you RSVP.
There is plenty of parking. For those with mobility issues, there are a few parking spots very close to the lodge. Please ask us to take you to one of those spots instead of parking in the large dirt lot with everyone else.
If you're staying at Tierra, you will not need transportation. For those staying in town, if you need transportation, please ask us. It's likely you can carpool with someone local.
We will be hosting a rehearsal dinner for out-of-town guests and family. Locals are welcome to come out to the lodge after dinner on Friday to hang out. Breakfast will be available to anyone staying onsite from 7:00-10:00am... somewhere in that time range. We'll put out sandwich/wrap makings about noon. We will probably go for a walk or hike on Tierra property sometime during the day. We'll finalize that as we get closer. If you arrive on Thursday or stay through Monday, we'll take you for a bike ride or for a longer hike.
