Felix and Joanna met in the midst of the COVID lockdown- truly the "most unexpected of moments". After friends tried to set them up, they met on their own during a Zoom Bible Study (I guess Zoom is great from something after all!). Months of friendship later, they started officially dating, and the rest...is history.
Pulling from the couple's love for the city, the wedding ceremony will take place in the picturesque and historic Hartford City Hall. Joanna is a first grade teacher in RJ Kinsella Magnet School, and Felix works for the National Guard in the Armory Building. Both have family ties to the city, attend Vox Church in Hartford, CT, and have a deep-rooted care for the place and its people. The reception will take place nearby at Barcelona Wine Bar in West Hartford, with a focus on food & friendships- two of the couple's favorite things.
Beyond love for each other, it is very important for both Felix and Joanna to accomplish one task with this wedding (and marriage): honor God above all else. The wedding will be focused around doing so, and celebrating the love between the two people He has brought together. We are so excited to have you join us as we all celebrate His love first.
