A little about Christian

Born in Brooklyn and moved to Georgia while in elementary school. The older brother to Melissa and Melanie. A lover of all things old school. Dad to the prettiest little girl on earth Mia Martin! A true gentleman at heart and shows it everyday. Everyone who knows him absolutely adores him! The kindest and truest friend in life you will ever find. I know, I'm biased but he is just a beautiful human being with the most caring soul. -JoAnna

A little about JoAnna

I was born and raised in Georgia and the oldest of 4, 2 younger sisters Kayla and Megan and 1 younger brother, Justin. I have always shared a love for art and music and to be surrounded by people who are important to me. I am by far the luckiest woman on the planet to be marrying Christian. His personality and big smile won me over from the moment I met him. He and Mia complete my world and I'm excited to start this new journey as we start our little family!

How We Met

Waiting for the right moment!

We had become friends at a mutual hang out spot on the weekends but both were always in other relationships. One day, after a hard breakup, I went to the usual spot and ran into Christian. As usual, we would exchange a hug and chat for a little bit. Christian asked me the boyfriend was, and when I told him we had recently broken up, Christian asked me what my favorite drink was (a lemon drop). We hung out the rest of the night and that was the beginning of our beautiful relationship!

The proposal

September 10 2016

We were in Myrtle Beach for a little vacation/birthday celebration. I had this feeling the whole time we were there that maybe Christian would propose but the week went by and nothing. Our last night there, we were taking a nice walk on the beach together. It was breezy, beautiful and nothing but the sand between our toes and the sound of the waves crashing around us. We walked and walked and talked and talked and little did I know, Christian had the ring on him the entire time but still no proposal. We went to bed and got up the next morning and was getting our things ready to head back home. I flopped on the bed and was looking at a ring on my hand that he had given me not long after we started dating. He pretended to take it off and I said to him that he wasn't going to replace it anyway. I was being a brat. He then reached around me and says "oh really" and in his hand was the most beautiful ring I've ever seen. He asked me to marry him and the rest is history. He had told me he completely planned on proposing to me on the beach the night before but it just didn't feel right. It wasn't some big huge ordeal but in a moment when we were truly being ourselves and I wouldn't have had it any other way!
