We're Getting Married!

We always joke about the timing of how we met each other. Alicia never thought she would end up in Austin, but in 2017 she arrived at UT for graduate school. Coincidentally, within a month after her arrival, Joanna was offered a new job in the same department where Alicia worked. Alicia would stop by Joanna’s office to chat and joke around with other colleagues. What Joanna noticed first was Alicia’s voice and the way she spoke with compassion and empathy while working with students. What Alicia noticed first was Joanna’s infectious laugh. Eventually they went out for a drink and the rest is herstory!
