We're getting married!

We have known each other for a very long time! We didn't talk much in elementary or middle school, Joanna had a huge crush on Evan and was always hoping he'd sit next to her at Sunday school. Then finally during freshman year Sadie Hawkins season (girls ask the guys) Joanna finally got the courage and went up to Evan at his locker and asked him to the dance, he told her he wasn't going, Joanna was ok with it and then her and Evan continued to never really talk. After high school, they did not stay in touch. 9 years later they reconnected at the most romantic place in Cañon City, The Neon Bottle. It's the "We Meet People Twice" theory, if you will. Joanna once again got the courage and asked Evan to hang out thinking she'd get rejected again like she did when she was 15, but to her surprise, Evan said yes and the rest is history! Sometimes it just takes 13 years of playing hard to get.

Joanna and Evan live on a cute little 5 acre farm with a garden and around 2 million grasshoppers. Joanna always had a lot of animals growing up, from birds to rabbits, to cats and the best dog ever, Miśka. So she was very excited when Evan brought up that they should go get baby chickens for Easter. They are now up to 8 chickens and their egg business has been booming. They have also ended up with 5 ducks! They have 2 dogs, Porter (a very hard working blue heeler) and Remi (a silly goldendoodle who thinks she's a guard dog). Joanna is constantly asking for a goat or donkey but is understanding that now might not be the right time. They are excited to continue to grow and add more chickens to the flock!
