We first saw each other the winter of our junior year in college, but in reality we actually first met long before then. It all started in 2000 when our moms met each other at a small church in Northern Virginia. They would often grab tea, fantasizing about how Daniel's mom wanted a daughter while Joanna's mom wanted a son. Little did they know their prayers would be answered but with a twist. Fast forward to Winter of 2021 and that was when we first really met each other. Taking a day trip up to UVA, Joanna came up with some friends to finally visit Charlottesville. Thanks to Kara Mihyun Park, Daniel came to the basketball courts behind Memorial Gym to hang out with new people but ended up finding his future wife. Thank God that Joanna decided to send a follow request to Daniel and that he was man enough to DM Joanna, because that small interaction turned into paragraphs on paragraphs of texting and late night FaceTime calls that lasted until sunrise. We knew we had a special connection but soon found out over coffee how our families already knew each other. As corny as it sounds, it really felt like we were meant to be. We started our relationship with 2 years of driving back and forth between VT and UVA but now we're only a 20 minute drive from South Riding to Fairfax. We've made countless memories together during these past 4 year that we will cherish forever, many of which were created alongside our wonderful family and friends. From spontaneous late night hangouts and game nights to an amazing trip halfway across the world in Korea, we are thankful for all the love and support we've received from all of you. Now, we are turning the "I love you, drive safe" into "Good morning, love" every day. Please join us this summer as we confess our commitment to a sacred covenant under God and begin this new chapter of our life. We are so excited to celebrate and share our special day with you all!
