In August of 2012, I decided to give online dating a try. Being a bit skeptical, I did some research and decided to join a free site called OK Cupid. One day I was scrolling through profiles and happened to come across a picture that caught my eye. In this beautiful young lady's profile picture, she had on a leather jacket, standing beside a motorcycle, looking like Daughters of Anarchy or something. I remember her million dollar smile and saying to myself "man that's wifey material". Not knowing that i was actually speaking something into existence. It was so long ago, I don't remember everything her profile said, but in my 1st message, I do recall pointing out some similar interests we shared. We traded a few messages back and forth and I would purposely delay my responses. I then blamed the delay on my schedule and gave her my number so we could talk more during the day;). It worked because shortly after we were texting, talking, and getting to know each other better. After about a month, we decided to meet in person. I mean, we had to make sure nobody was trying to catfish..lol. And the rest is history.
We were in Orlando, Fl celebrating my birthday. Chris made reservations for dinner at the Eleven Restaurant, located on the Reunion Resort. We arrived at the resort for dinner and he decided that we should go for a walk before going inside. We walked around the resort grounds and ended up at a huge fountain. Chris grabbed my hand. He began to explain why he was happy that we met each other and reasons why he loves me. While pouring his heart out, he lowered to one knee and I no longer heard anything that came out of his mouth. I was surprised, happy, and I replied "yes!". Unknown to me, he also hired a photographer who had been taking pictures the entire time. We took more pictures outside and then we went inside for dinner. Shortly after ordering our food, he said " I have one more surprise." I turned around to see two of our friends had flown to Florida to spend the last two days with us. I was so impressed with the planning and thought put into the details. I couldn't have asked for a more special moment.
