Things To Do

We're so excited to welcome you all to Jo's hometown. These are some recommendations to make Kansas a little more worthwhile!
Keeper of the Plains

Keeper of the Plains

650 North Seneca Street, Wichita, KS 67203

"The Keeper of the Plains is a 44-foot tall steel sculpture standing at the point where the Big and Little Arkansas rivers join together in downtown Wichita." This cool and historic Native American sculpture is a Witchita icon and also has a "ring of fire" that lights up for 15 minutes almost every night at 7 in the winter/fall!

The Workroom

523 East Douglas Avenue, Wichita, KS 67202

Grab a drink and shop around for handmade crafts, art, and gifts made by local Wichita artists!

Wizard's Alley

114 North Saint Francis Avenue, Wichita, KS 67202

A cute lil comic/game store for those who partake!

Nortons Brewing Company

125 Saint Francis, Wichita, KS 67202

A standard craft brewery with a big space and good vibes.

Lava & Tonic

1716 East Douglas Avenue, Wichita, KS 67214

A fun tiki bar with devastatingly strong drinks. (Be wary of sugar based hangovers!)

HomeGrown

645 East Douglas Avenue, Wichita, KS 67202

The best (and first real) brunch place in town!! Known for their house made "Pop'd Hearts"

First Mile Kitchen

2141 North Bradley Fair Parkway, Wichita, KS 67206

A newer brunch option!

Sakura Japanese Cuisine

605 West Douglas Avenue, Wichita, KS 67207

Delicious authentic ramen from a hole-in-the-wall restaurant

Braum's Ice Cream & Dairy Store

Wichita, KS

A simple, no frills, drive through and dine in ice cream shop with numerous locations. Jo recommends a chocolate malt!

Exploration Place

300 North Mc Lean Boulevard, Wichita, KS 67203

A kid focused interactive museum with a brand new massive playground. Visiting the Exploration Place is a core childhood memory for Jo.

Sedgwick County Zoo

5555 West Zoo Boulevard, Wichita, KS 67212

The 10th best zoo in the US!!!!! (weather permitting)
