We met through two mutual groups of friends. It was a relaxed tuesday night at our local Irish pub in downtown Pensacola. Our friends forced us out of our houses despite our wishes, little did we know we would be meeting our soul mate. Landell made the first move coming up to sit and talk. Me, being the tomboy and closeted introvert I am, instantly came to the verdict that he was a muscle meat head. One of "those guys" I wanted nothing to do with. I was happily mistaken after 3 hours of intelligent conversation, too many fantastic jokes, 4 Jenga games (That I mostly won!! -J ) and a much talked about trip to Tin Cow Burgers at 2am. We became the best of friends, challenging each other in everything from movie quotes to beer chugging competitions. Going to that Irish Pub that night was probably one of the best decisions we've ever made in life.

Landell and I were so blessed to have the opportunity to purchase our first home together. It just so happened that when we found our dream house it was in need of A LOT of work. I was 6 months pregnant when we started the journey of becoming homeowners, little did we know that we would be closing on the house, moving in, renovating and having our first baby boy all in the same week! Ashton Lee Cade was born October 27, 2015 a healthy 5lbs 6oz. By the grace of God, our amazing community of family and friends, and 27 gallons of paint, we moved in and started our journey to become The Cades.
