FAQs

If you have any questions that aren't listed here, don't hesitate to let us know!! We can't wait to spend our special day with you :)
Question

What is the Sangeet?

Answer

The Sangeet is a traditional Indian pre-wedding reception for family, close friends, and the wedding party. This will also serve as our rehearsal dinner. It will be held from 6 to 10 p.m. at the Auburn Hills Marriott Pontiac. We're excited to see you for festive music, dancing, and buffet-style Indian food!

Question

I'm attending the sangeet. What do I wear?

Answer

The sangeet, like the wedding, is a semi-formal event. You're welcome to wear western clothes if you choose! If you're interested in wearing Indian clothes but aren't quite sure where to start, Jordan has put together this guide: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1qBGcLG21XiHZf42PcwvQrJNhnaGXwMxc/view?usp=drive_link

Question

On the day of the wedding, when should I arrive?

Answer

The ceremony will begin promptly at 3:00 directly following Bobby's barat at 2:30. We recommend arriving around 2 p.m. to see the groom's grand entrance!

Question

What is the Barat?

Answer

The barat is a wedding procession for the groom that involves live music and dancing! Traditionally, the groom rides in on an elephant, but Bobby will be swapping that for a fancy car :)

Question

Will the ceremony and reception be at the same venue?

Answer

Yes! All of our events on the day of the wedding (April 25, 2026) will take place at 2GatherMore, located at 3391 Cross Creek Pkwy, Auburn Hills, MI 48326. Bobby's baraat will open the celebration at the front entrance of the venue at 2:30. From there, the ceremony will take place from 3:00 to 4:00, followed by a cocktail hour from 4:00 to 5:30 and a reception from 5:30 to 11:00 p.m.

Question

Can I request a song?

Answer

Yes! Please request any song you would like when you RSVP. Jordan would prefer that all songs requested be by Taylor Swift. (This is a joke, haha, unless...)
