Boy from Seattle meets Girl from Washington DC in a church in Buffalo, and the rest is history… That is probably all you’re going to take away from our story, but allow me (Jonathan) to elaborate for those who care. You see approximately 6.5 years ago I received an acceptance phone call from the law school admission office in Buffalo. I didn’t want to go, but my resistance was futile. Next thing I know I was on an economy flight to Buffalo with pocket full of dreams to change the world one injustice at a time (haven't accomplished this yet). During law school I dreamed of moving away, and I was very excited about the prospect of moving back to a major city. But we all know what happened when I graduated: I stayed. Then on one magical Sunday an angel walked into church (cringe all you want, but this is literally what happened). I went up to this angel and asked for her name. She then replied with her sweet heavenly voice, “Esther” (butterflies were in my belly). I soon knew she was the one, and the rest is, as I said in the beginning of this story: history.
Now Esther’s story is pretty similar. Approximately 2.5 years ago Esther received acceptance letters from multiple dental schools. Buffalo was one of them, and they asked to interview her. So she got in her 96 Nissan, and drove through a snow storm to reach Buffalo. Unfortunately, she lost control of her car and totaled it on her way up. Even though Buffalo gave her an offer, the accident discouraged her from actually considering acceptance. But like me, her resistance was futile. Next thing she knew she was on an economy flight to Buffalo with pocket full of dreams to change the world one tooth at a time (she already accomplished this). Then on one glorious Sunday she decided to walk into a church where her eyes laid upon a handsome lad: me (boom). We went on a few dates, and on October 15, 2016, I decided to ask her to be mine in the parking lot of a Chinese buffet (I know what you're thinking, but to my defense I was desperate). Two years later on November 17, 2018, I got on my knees and put a ring on her finger (praise God she said yes). When our parents met this past December we said, "heck with it, let’s get married in July." So we're now getting married in July 2019. Now we await for our new story to begin. (I am Esther and I reluctantly approve of this story.)
