How We Met

7.3.2018

We met on a dating app, on July 3rd 2018, discussed our mutual love of coffee, and had our first date a week later! We met at Agora, where we sat for 5 hours talking, well... mostly I nervously rambled, and Daniel sweetly listened. A week after that, we were on our third date, and officially a couple.

The Proposal

8.31.2019

Daniel was quite the secret keeper and organizer for our proposal! He enlisted the help of my mom, June, and my best friend/MOH, Meesha to plan a sweet surprise engagement party for us. Meesha suggested we have a girls night out, where we could dress up and take cute pictures together. However, my mom called later saying that she and my dad were going away for the weekend and hoped I could take my sister to cheer. Conveniently nobody else was available! Meesha and I got ready, and headed to Sugar Land, where we of course needed to take a picture, so Punky suggested we go outside for better lighting. Walking outside Daniel was standing there, with a beautiful archway decorated by family friends, ready to ask me about our forever. Little did I know, there were friends and family standing by my side, and a taco truck coming later that evening!

The Pandemic

2020

While it does seem that 2020 is taking a turn for the better, making it more possible to host our celebration on 11/13/2020 - we know that in moving forward with this, many would undoubtedly feel uncomfortable being in a large group. As this is absolutely not what we want people to remember when looking back on the most special time in our lives, we have decided that the best thing for all involved will be to continue the postponement and instead, have a one year vow renewal in June 2020. We are sad to have been impacted this way, but are so very excited about celebrating with everyone we love. Please reach out to us with any questions - we would love to hear from you! Sincerely, Daniel + JL
