The Indianapolis Cultural Trail

The cultural trail is 8 miles long and connects various neighborhoods of Indianapolis (the address listed is for their headquarters / office). Weather dependent, the trail is an excellent way to familiarize yourself with the city and downtown area. The Pacers Bikeshare also provides means of transportation and costs just $8, a day.

Upland Brewery

Started in Bloomington, IN (home of Indiana University), Upland is one of the many hometown craft breweries in Indy. The Fountain Square tap room is their latest venture, where you can sample some of their well-known beers and grab a bite to eat.

Union 50

Union 50 is an innovative, chef driven restaurant and bar located in the Mass Ave neighborhood in Indianapolis, IN. Their dinner menu features creative dishes that change seasonally.

Hotel Tango Distillery

Located in a 1906-vintage horse stable and carriage house in the trendy Fletcher Place neighborhood, the bar serves cocktails made with Hotel Tango booze.

Monument Circle

The Indiana State Soldiers and Sailors Monument is a 284 ft 6 in neoclassical monument built on Monument Circle, a circular, brick-paved street that intersects Meridian and Market streets in the center of downtown.

Great place to take a stroll. You can also take the path all the way to the White River State Park

Fountain Square

Funky Indy neighborhood has with restaurants, live music and performance, working artists with a vibrant arts scene, and great stores.

Massachusetts Avenue

Mass Ave is one of six designated cultural districts in Indy. It's located just a few blocks northeast of Monument Circle. It has restaurants, art galleries and places to shop.

The Alexander

Opened in 2013, the Alexander hotel was developed as a joint venture with the Indianapolis Museum of Art. Art-themed hotels weren’t new, but the collaboration set it apart, as did the collection. Its crown jewel, however, may be the bar, Plat 99, designed by the Cuban-born artist Jorge Pardo, hung with 99 colorful, hand-molded acrylic lamps.
