Despite going to the same high school (he's two years older & it was a large school), they officially met in college, at Rutgers University. They had some mutual friends and ended up at the same house party and hit it off! She knew he was "the one" the next day, when he surprised her and her friends with bagels in the morning! He claims that he "had a feeling" the first time he ever saw her in their high school's hallway, long before they met.

He took her to a scenic, steam engine train ride along the Delaware River, however, the steam engine was broken (so it was ultimately just a normal train) and there were barely any views of the river. In fact, most of the views were litter, old thrown out mattresses and rusty broken down cars on the side of the track. It was HILARIOUS and they were laughing the whole time. He popped the question while the conductor was snoring in the next seat over.
