Question

WILL YOU CHANGE THE DATE OF THE CEREMONY AND RECEPTION IF COVID-19 CASES GET WORSE IN INDIANA?

Answer

At this time, we do not anticipate changing the date of the ceremony and reception. If COVID-19 cases worsen and pose significantly more risk to our guests, we will reach out to guests individually to inform them of changes to our plans. We are closely monitoring the number of cases, and testing capacity in Indiana. We are also following the trends from states that have more aggressively opened up to determine what measures we may need to take to keep our loved ones safe.

Question

WHAT SAFETY MEASURES ARE IN PLACE FOR THE CEREMONY?

Answer

1. Masks are required to be worn during the ceremony. If you do not have a mask with you, you will be given one upon arrival. It is strongly encouraged to wear a mask throughout the rest of the venue, when you are not eating/drinking. 2. There will be extra seating at the ceremony - it is strongly encouraged that families living within the same household sit together, with seats/rows separating themselves from others. We ask that if you had to travel by airfare to sit in the back of the ceremony.

Question

WHAT SAFETY MEASURES ARE IN PLACE FOR THE RECEPTION?

Answer

1. Hand sanitizer stations will be located throughout the venue. 2. Seating for the reception will be assigned such that families who live in the same household are grouped together. Extended family groups will be seated away from other extended families. 3. The buffet will be served by our caterer, as opposed to the traditional serve-yourself method. (Think of it like a fancy Chipotle!) There will be more measures in place, but this is our starting point. If you have additional suggestions, please reach out to us!

Question

AS A GUEST, HOW CAN I KEEP THOSE AROUND ME SAFE?

Answer

Upon arrival, each guest will select a colored bracelet that must be worn throughout the entirety of the event. We believe this provides a silent way to communicate your preferences on social distancing. Red bracelet = No contact. I'm not comfortable talking/being around those that are not living within my household. Masks must be worn at all times while remaining 6ft apart. No exceptions. Yellow bracelet = Still being cautious. Elbow greetings only. I'm more comfortable talking/being around those that are not living within my household. Still practicing social distancing. Green bracelet = Fist bumps, high-fives, and handshakes are allowed. I'm most comfortable talking/being around those that are not living within my household. Frequent hand washing/sanitizing required. We ask that before approaching others, we accept and respect differing preferences and allow individuals to move at their own pace. There will be signs around the venue reminding everyone what each color means.

Question

WILL THERE BE A LIVESTREAM OF THE CEREMONY IF WE ARE NOT ABLE TO ATTEND?

Answer

Yes! If you cannot attend the ceremony in person but still want to see us get married, there is an option to watch the ceremony on Zoom. Learn more in the RSVP section of our website.

Question

ARE CHILDREN INVITED?

Answer

Unless specifically noted in your invitation, we believe that adding children (many of whom will have started school) to our event is not a risk we are willing to take in consideration of our high-risk guests. Thank you for understanding. If you have further questions, please contact us.

Question

CAN I BRING A PLUS ONE?

Answer

In order to keep our numbers down, we are restricting the wedding to single individuals, unless specifically noted on your invitation. We appreciate your understanding!

Question

WHAT IS THE DRESS CODE FOR THE WEDDING?

Answer

Semi-Formal: Tuxes and gowns are welcome, and so are suits and cocktail dresses. And don't forget your masks!

Question

WILL THERE BE VEGAN/VEGETARIAN/ GLUTEN-FREE FOOD OPTIONS?

Answer

Short answer, YES! Since Kennedy is vegetarian herself, there will be plenty of options for vegetarians. The menu is set up so people are able to pick what they want, accommodating for vegan and gluten-free needs.
