We're getting married!

We have actually known each other since 2015, however our love story truly begins December 2017. I invited JJ out to celebrate my birthday. We were at a small, hometown bar drinking and listening to music with friends. Little did I know that by the end of the evening, I would learn that JJ has had feelings for me and the feeling was mutual on my end. After that moment, I felt like JJ and I were the only ones in the bar- talking and laughing until early hours, I didn't want the night to end. After that JJ convinced me to go on a lunch date with him to PF Changs that same weekend. Needless to say this "lunch date" lasted 5 hours. Conversation was just so easy with him and the chemistry between us was undeniably perfect and felt right. The rest is history!

The proposal could not have been anymore perfect. It completely blew me away and I was 100% in shock. JJ had invited me to go on a "business trip" with him to Nashville, TN at the end of March. I have heard amazing things about Nashville and had never been so I was excited to go. I have been on several business trips with JJ in the past, so this wasn't a red flag that it was business trip over the weekend. We get in late Friday night and Saturday we venture off to this business event that starts around 1:00PM. I am dressed up, hair curled and everything to find out that we will have to take a little hike to the venue. I was like hmmm... thats strange but still went with the flow and took off my wedges and threw on my tennis shoes for the hike. If I said I wasn't complaining the entire way, I would be lying. I was getting hot and my hair was going flat from the hike. I kept telling JJ that I would've dressed differently if I would've known we would have to hike down a mountain. JJ kept his cool and followed me down the mountain. I saw beautiful waterfalls on our way down and stopped to take pictures. I have never been to a waterfall before and have always wanted to go. Once we get to the bottom, we were the only ones there in front of this gorgeous, secluded waterfall. I turn around and JJ gets down on one knee, takes out this stunning ring and pops the question. He says some sweet words in between but I was in such shock that I couldn't think straight. I look over and see a photographer taking our picture of the proposal with the waterfall in the background. JJ goes on to tell me that he hired a photographer in TENNESSEE to capture the most perfect, special day of our life. JJ has had this perfect day scheduled with all the fine details for months. He found the perfect waterfall that was secluded just for us, the perfect ring, the perfect day and he knows how much I love pictures and capturing memories on camera. It was perfect in every way.
