We met on Hinge, even though we lived less than 500 feet from each other just west of Union Square. JJ planned our first date at Motel Morris, a cozy neighborhood bar. While JJ patiently waited for Jen's fashionably late arrival, the bar filled up. Jen suggested we pivot to Scampi on 19th Street where we’ve celebrated our “Scampi-versary” ever since. We recall it raining on our first 5 dates, so hopefully the sun is shining on December 2!
On the first full day of our trip to Iceland, we explored the Golden Circle with our bellies full of cinnamon rolls & chocolate croissants. Our first stop was þórufoss, a beautiful waterfall off the beaten path. After a short, wet hike, Jen turned around to find JJ down on one knee and accepted his proposal through the happiest tears (which continued throughout the day). We celebrated doing our favorite things - enjoying the outdoors and stuffing our faces. We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you at the Hotel Chelsea!
