We eloped. Now we party.

Sometimes the people meant to find you are closer than you think. Ours just took the long way around. During high school, I was working at Kings Island when I made a friend who introduced me to his group of friends a few years later. Turns out, they had all gone to my high school. I just somehow never crossed paths with any of them. They quickly became my best friends, and still are to this day. A couple years into that friendship, they invited me to play Halo Infinite with some friends of theirs from another Discord server. I was a little nervous. These were my besties, and now I was about to crash a server full of strangers. But the owner of that server invited me in, and that owner just happened to be Andrew. We started light flirting almost immediately. It was that kind of instant click where you wonder how this could be so perfect, but it really is that perfect. Every virtual hangout became more jokes about cute dates until finally, a few weeks into knowing each other, we decided to meet in person. I drove up to Columbus that first weekend. After that, we never went a single weekend without seeing each other, and most of the time we stretched those weekends as long as we possibly could, even into the week with Andrew working remote at my house. We did the Cincinnati-to-Columbus long distance thing for a year before finally moving in together. And the rest, as they say, is history.
