Theme & Dress Code

The theme is “Garden Party” Think pastels, florals, and earth tones — light, cheerful, and natural. No need to buy anything new (Tata will love you for that 🌏💚). Thrifted, borrowed, or repurposed outfits are absolutely welcome. 🌤️ Weather Wedding is outdoors. Expect a mild 22 – 24°C evening, can be around 20 - 22 °C (Considered cold/winter in Thailand) 👨🏻 Gentlemen No shorts or sandals, please. A long-sleeve shirt with trousers or slacks is perfect. Jackets are optional. Feel free to leave them on your chair once you hit the dance floor. 👩🏻 Ladies Go for something comfortable enough to dance in. Avoid heels that might sink into the grass and maybe bring a light scarf or cardigan as evenings can get breezy.

It’ll be a long-table dinner. Everyone will have an assigned seat. We’ll finalize seating by mid-December, so if your +1 situation changes (for better or worse 🥹), please let us know as soon as possible.

Wedding Gifts

In Thai tradition, it’s common to give a cash gift (similar to an ang bao 💌) to wish the couple well as they start their new chapter. We’re simply grateful you can celebrate with us, especially those traveling from outside Thailand. ⚠️ There’s absolutely no expectation for gifts. ⚠️ If you’d like to give, envelopes will be available at the registration desk on the day.

Planning my BKK trip

We’ve put together 3 easy options to help plan your Thailand trip! --- OPTION A --- Just the Wedding (3 nights, 8–11 JAN) 8–9 JAN: Fly into Bangkok, recover from jetlag and enjoy a bit of shopping. 10 JAN: Relax in the morning, wedding at 5 PM. Fly home on 11 JAN (note: morning hangovers may apply). --- OPTION B --- One Week in Bangkok (5–6 nights) Fly in around 3 JAN to avoid New Year price spikes. Fly out 11–12 JAN. Use the extra days for day trips or short getaways nearby: Kanchanaburi 🌿 Rivers, Nature, History Ayutthaya 🏯 Ancient capital & Ruins Hua Hin / Pattaya 🏖️ Closest beaches, 2–3 hours by car --- OPTION C --- Two Weeks+ in Thailand Turn it into a full holiday! Do Bangkok + 1–2 other destinations. North 🌸 Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Pai South 🌴 Phuket, Krabi, Koh Samui, Koh Chang Just make sure to be in Bangkok 9–11 JAN for the wedding weekend. Here are a few recommendations below: --- Near Wedding Venue --- (10 min drive, outskirts of Bangkok) 🏢 Raweewan Residence (Closest to Venue) **Price: ~ 1.6k THB/night (~ 50 USD) Contact Tata/Elf to book (will book via phone) 🏢 Diamond 789 Minburi Budget-friendly and comfy **Price: ~ 1k THB/night (~ 30 USD) Contact Tata/Elf to book (will book via phone) --- Near BKK Suvarnabhumi Airport --- 3 km from airport, 18 km & 40 min to venue 🛫 Courtyard by Marriott Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport (4 ⭐) **Price: ~ 6k THB/night (~ 190 USD) Perfect if you’d rather skip Bangkok traffic and stay close to the airport. (Ideal if you know you have a flight to catch and are worried about traffic) --- In the City --- 🏨 Craftsman Hotel - boutique hotel Great spa, cool cafe/bar, near Tata’s neighborhood. Located in Ari / Saphankwai area Famous for trendy cafe and food places. **Price: ~ 2.6k THB/night (~ 80 USD) 🏨 Hotel Icon Bangkok Sukhumvit Very city-central area, close to many malls, 10 min walk to BTS (Skytrain) Nana and Phloenchit station. **Price: ~ 3k THB/night (~ 93 USD) If you want lively evening walks in the city, shopping trip, staying here is best. Overall, we recommend staying near/walkable to the BTS (Skytrain) station for easy traveling across the city.
