Boulder's altitude is at about 5,500 feet, and the wedding venue is at around 8,500. Altitude is very important to keep in mind, and takes some time for your body to adjust to. More importantly, PLEASE be aware, at this high of an elevation, 1 drink equals 3 drinks. Please try and hydrate as much as possible leading up to the wedding, as well as the wedding day. We all know there will be many drinks consumed, but altitude makes a big difference, and we'd love for you to make it through the entire night. Altitude Awareness and Precautions 1. Stay properly hydrated. 2. Tobacco and alcohol and other depressant drugs will have stronger than usual effects, especially during acclimation, which can also lead to dehydration. 3. Light activity during the day is better than sleeping because respiration decreases during sleep, exacerbating altitude sickness symptoms. 4. Rest and drinking lots of water are the keys to treating mild forms of altitude sickness.
Unfortunately, even though we love your kids, we are not allowing anyone under the age of 21 at the wedding. Please plan on coordinating child care for the day of the wedding if necessary and thank you for understanding!
Please try and RSVP by the end of May if not earlier.
