Barnacle Bill's
Where it all started. I'm sure we'll be here throughout the weekend, but if you're exploring on your own make sure you visit Barnacle Bill's for steamers, Long Island Iced Teas, fried zucchini, and a burger!
Red Bank
Red Bank is a cute area to explore, with plenty of shops and restaurants. We especially like checking out the many antique shops in the area, and getting hot dogs and cheese fries from The Windmill, or italian ice and ice cream from Strollo's Lighthouse Italian Ice.
Sea Bright
The beach in September is the best! Check out Sea Bright for plenty of public beach access and lots of good food. Get a rum bucket at Donovans, an orange crush at Woody's, or a full lunch at Tommy's.
Sandy Hook
If you're driving, be sure to visit Sandy Hook. We love the self-guided walking tour of the historic buildings (you can pick up a map at the lighthouse), and walking on the bay side of the park. You can explore old bunkers, check out the beach, and swim!
Atlantic Highlands
We love to get breakfast at Sissy's and stroll around the Atlantic Highlands marina to check out the fancy boats. There's a cute, walkable beach with some sea glass accessible from the parking lot near Sissy's too. Check out On the Deck for a great view and lots of good food and drinks, or walk up the main street to plenty of cute shops and other great restaurants. .
