Ajax Diner has been serving Oxford award-winning Mississippi cuisine for over twenty years. Ajax is known for being the go to place for great comfort food like chicken and dumplings, turkey and dressing, classic casseroles, and oh, the gravy, lots of gravy. Jimmy and Libby love this unique spot. Libby's go to drink here is the Jon Daily, and Jimmy loves the chicken fried steak and jalapeño cornbread.
This bar is one of Jimmy and Libby's favorite sports bars in Oxford. It has 3 separate bar areas, including an outside patio area with a wall of TVs. They love to watch away games here and hear the horn go off when Ole Miss scores! Some of their favorite memories are of dancing to the live bands.
Yaya's has frozen yogurt flavors that change seasonally with a full bar of toppings. If you want to stop in for a tasty treat while walking around the Square, this is the place to go.
Square Books is a booklover's dream and an Oxford icon. Opened in 1979 by Richard and Lisa Howorth (Abby Morrison's godparents!), Square Books is one of the top 25 bookstores in America. Libby's brother-in-law, Cody Morrison, is the inventory manager and buyer. Their upstairs cafe and lovely balcony give a beautiful view of the Square.
If you want to stop in a shop to check out some Southern fashion, head into Neilson's. This store has been on the Historic Oxford Square since 1839. People love to buy game day outfits, homewares, and accessories for all ages here.
