Things To Do

LA is popular enough that you can look up things to do, but if you’d like a few more out of the way options, here are some ideas: Doing Nearby museums include not only the Getty, but also the Hammer Museum in Westwood Village, the Museum of Jurassic Technology in Culver City, and other small museums. LA is home to many indie movie theaters as well. You may enjoy visiting the Laemmle Royale or the Nuart Theater in Sawtelle. Venice beach and the nearby Venice Canals are also fun and typically a little less crowded than Santa Monica. Eating Westwood is home to Little Tehran. There are good Persian food options south of Westwood Village and in the adjoining neighborhoods. Sawtelle Japantown houses the Giant Robot’s art gallery, a couple long-standing bonsai nurseries, and many ramen options. Tokyo Fast Food is in Brentwood but is a good food option as well. Good taco trucks abound in the area. Everyone has high praise for Brothers Cousins Tacos.
