How do I reserve a room at the wedding venue?
Answer
The hotel has pre-reserved several Granada and Valladolid rooms for our guests. If you are interested in reserving a room at the wedding venue during your stay, please contact us. What if there are no rooms available at Duruelo?
Answer
Villa De Leyva is a very tourist friendly town with lots of lodging and hotel options. If you are unable to book a room at the wedding venue, there are other hotels walking distance from it.

How do we get to the venue?
Answer
We will coordinate shuttles to take guests to and from the wedding venue. To do so, we ask that you complete the Google form in the Travel Section as soon as you book your travel plans. Shuttles will leave Friday July 28. Shuttles will leave from either the Bogotá airport or the Holiday Inn near the airport. If your flight arrives on Thursday July 27, we recommend that you stay at the Holiday Inn near the airport that night and catch the shuttle the next day.

Where should we stay in Bogotá?
Answer
We recommend that you stay at the Holiday Inn near the airport if needed. The shuttle will only be transporting from this hotel (and the airport). If you would like to make different accommodations, please make sure you can arrive to this hotel by the shuttle departure time. The Holiday Inn near the airport is also centrally located if you plan to spend some time in Bogotá. There are also other options in that area including: Sheraton, Hilton Garden Inn, Hampton by Hilton, and others.

What is the dress code?
Answer
Semi-Formal or Cocktail Attire Please keep in mind that the wedding will take place outdoors. Weather in July in Villa De Leyva usually keeps between 62-66 F (17 - 19 C). The wedding will also take place on grass, so plan footwear accordingly.

What is the altitude in Bogota and Villa De Leyva?
Answer
Bogota is at an elevation of 8,661 feet (2,639 meters) and Villa De Leyva is at an elevation of 7,000 feet (2,150 meters). When you arrive, please take care to hydrate with water if you are not accustomed to high altitudes.

What is the currency in Colombia?
Answer
Colombia uses Colombian Pesos (COP). The exchange rate is ~4,000 COP : 1 USD. Prices are written with the European syntax which uses a period (".") instead of a comma (",") to separate thousands. They also use the "$" symbol. For example, $4.000 COP is roughly equal to $1 USD. $20.000 COP is roughly equal to $5 USD. $100.000 COP is roughly equal to $25 USD. And so on... What if I don't speak Spanish?

The hotel staff are very friendly and willing to help you out. Many of the guests speak both English and Spanish, and are very happy to help if you have a question or need attention during the stay.
