FAQs

The Wedding Website of Jessica Schnelle and Jim Richi
Question

What time should I arrive to the ceremony?

Answer

Help us get the party started as scheduled! Guest arrival begins at 2:00 pm, so we recommend arriving between 2:00 and 2:15pm. There will also be pre-ceremony prosecco provided! The ceremony starts promptly at 2:30pm.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding is black-tie optional. Think suits, cocktail dresses, floor-length dresses, jumpsuits, etc.

Question

Will the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception take place indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will take place outdoors at Wychmere's beach deck. The cocktail hour will also take place outdoors at the Ocean Room terrace overlooking the Wychmere harbor. The reception will be held indoors in the Ocean Room.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

It is typically mildly cool and breezy in Harwich Port in early September. The temperature varies around mid to high 70s.

Question

What will your wedding-day timeline look like?

Answer

The ceremony, cocktail hour and reception are all at the same venue. After the ceremony, the guests will be escorted to the cocktail hour location at the Ocean Room Terrace while the wedding party takes pictures nearby. We have extended our cocktail hour to an hour and a half so we can join our guests for light hors D'oeuvres and beverages. The Ocean Room Terrace is a short walk from the ceremony location, but there will be golf carts available to those who need it.

Question

Is there parking available at the wedding venue?

Answer

Wychmere Beach Club offers complimentary self-parking to all guests. Parking is not reserved and is on a first come first serve basis.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our wedding will be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We hope you will understand our decision to make the wedding children-free, and take the opportunity to let your hair down and celebrate in style!

Question

What type of food and drink will be served during the cocktail hour and reception?

Answer

We'll be serving light passed hors d'oeuvres during cocktail hour, followed by a three-course plated dinner. We'll also have a donut bar and some late night snacks!

Question

I have dietary restrictions/allergies. What's the best way to let you know?

Answer

You can communicate your dietary restrictions/allergies when sending in your RSVP.

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Of course! The Schnelle/Richi families know how to have a good time!

Question

Have you booked hotel room blocks for guests?

Answer

Unfortunately, the nearby hotels to the wedding venue do not provide room blocks. Please visit the Travel section of our website for recommended hotels.

Question

When will the reception end? Will there be an after-party?

Answer

The reception ends at 11:00pm. Transportation back to the recommended hotels will be provided. For those who would like to join, we'll be having an after party in downtown Harwich Port following the reception.

Question

Do you have a gift registry?

Answer

We are so thankful you will be celebrating our big day with us! While gifts are not expected, we have registered for a few items for our newlywed home. Please visit our Registry page for more information. If you do choose to browse our wedding registry, any items on the list can be shipped directly to our home address.

Question

Will transportation be provided to and from the venue?

Answer

Yes! You'll arrive in style in a Cape Cod Trolley. The trolleys will pick you up starting at 2pm at both the Kingfisher and the Inn on the Beach. A school bus will be provided for transportation back to the hotels after the reception ends, with a stop at the Main Street if you want to bar hop!
