Our Love Story: A Journey Written by God More than thirty years ago, long before life revealed its divine connections, two hearts were quietly searching for comfort, friendship, and healing. In Saddle Brook, New Jersey lived a young woman named Lonique, raised in the vibrant heart of Mount Vernon, New York. After the heartbreaking loss of her best friend Jason, she longed for companionship — for someone who could understand her laughter and her tears. Meanwhile, in Linden, New Jersey, Jimmey, who grew up in that same town, was navigating the sudden passing of his mother. He, too, was searching for a new best friend — someone to talk to, someone to share the quiet moments with. Both souls, tender and open, dialed into the same place: the 98.7 FM Kiss Soulmate Line in September of 1995, never imagining that this simple step would redirect the course of their lives. To stay safe (and a little cautious), Lonique chose a public meeting spot: Newark Penn Station. Her only clue to Jimmey was a promise — “I’ll be wearing a multicolored jacket.” As fate would have it, Jimmey first spotted someone else in a multicolored jacket and politely asked if she was Lonique. She wasn’t — and he was quietly relieved. Then, like a scene crafted by destiny itself, his name echoed through the station loudspeakers, calling him to the information booth. No Lonique. No clue. But destiny never misses its moment. When Jimmey walked into the McDonald’s at Penn Station, he felt eyes watching him — gently, curiously. He turned… and there she was. A smile so warm and radiant it lit up the entire room. In that instant, Jimmey knew — this was the woman God intended for him. They talked for two hours, sharing stories, laughter, and dreams. One year later, that conversation blossomed into their first wedding, when they eloped in the Bahamas. They soon joined Emmanuel Tabernacle Church under Pastor Ron and Lady LaVerne Young, and one year later, they stood before family, friends, and God to marry again on August 16, 1998. Today, three decades later — after the good, the bad, the ugly, the victories, the losses, and every blessing in between — their love has grown stronger, deeper, and unshakeable. Their greatest blessings — Brielle, Jimaye, and Jimmy Javis — stand as living proof of God’s faithfulness. And now, with grateful hearts and renewed devotion, we invite you to join us as we marry once more — in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit — united again by Pastor Ron and Lady LaVerne, to celebrate 30 years of love, faith, and forever.
