When we met we talked on the phone for hours. We had so much in common it was crazy. We met for a quick drink and then had plans to see one of Margo's favorite bands in Highland. The band was in fact Zodiac, who is playing at our wedding. What Margo didn't realize that her entire friend group was going to be at the Zodiac show. Jim was lucky enough to meet them all on our first date and...her daughter and her then friend and now boyfriend who happened to be home for fall break and were passing by on their way home from a Halloween party at Purdue Northwest. I mean who doesn't doesn't want to meet an entire friend group a teenage child on a first date? Jim was a trooper about it and now these friends are his friends, or better yet, our friends and Jim and Summer get along fabulously! They are both metal heads and love many of the same bands. Jim & Margo went to Purdue Calumet at the exact time, both studied accounting and were both in the same music scene so of course we are having a live band at our wedding!

We went to Key Largo, or "Key Margo" as it is now called for Margo's 60th birthday. Jim planned a nice dinner at a French Restaurant in Islamorado for Margo's birthday. We got there early to walk on the beach and when we got to the water's edge Jim dropped to one knee and began the most beautiful proposal when a photographer jumped up from a beach chair and began taking photos. He thought of everything. He chose a beautiful, custom designed platinum ring with a round diamond. It is stunning. Margo said yes! It was the start of a wonderful birthday celebration for both of us because Jim turned 60 three weeks later!
