We met on a dating app in December 2017 and went on our first date meeting for drinks in Chicago. Jim knew that he could not wait to see Kristin again, and we went on our first three dates in the span of four days! We discovered quickly that we had similar food preferences (no sushi, no mushrooms on pizza, please!), we are both sports fans (even though we don’t root for the same college football team), and we loved spending time together. In May 2018, we traveled to California for a wedding and Kristin remembers the feeling she had when we were waiting in LAX to come back to Chicago - it was a feeling of wow this is really so easy and comfortable and I’m so glad that it’s Jim that’s here with me. That feeling has persisted for Kristin - Jim is Kristin’s calm in the storm. We continued to enjoy traveling together with many trips to Colorado and Michigan. Fast forward a couple of years - we were living together and enjoyed frequent Chicago lake front walks on Lake Michigan. We went on one of our lake walks on a sunny Saturday morning in November 2020 and Jim asked Kristin to marry him! It was a day we will both remember forever, including our celebratory lunch of Jimmy John’s and champagne :) We have loved being engaged and planning our wedding. We bought our first home together in Chicago in May 2021, and are so happy that we get a future together. We are so excited for May 14, 2022 to celebrate our wedding with all of our family and friends!
