Part One

We met online in December 2013 on Plenty of Fish. Jim's first question he asked was "If you could have any super power, which would you pick and why?". Jen was intrigued immediately, as he seemed so different than all of the other guys. They talked all evening and around 11pm that night, Jen said to Jim "I'm going to go to sleep. You should call me to say goodnight" and she gave Jim her phone number. Well, they stayed up until 3am talking on the phone. There was an instant connection. The two wasted no time and planned to meet in person. December 17, 2013, they went on their first date, to Sonic. Jim walked 7 miles in the snow to meet Jen! Jen couldn't believe how tall he was in person! The conversation flowed and Jen tried to impress Jim by naming songs on the radio within the first few seconds of them playing....much to Jen's surprise that Jim didn't really know music well. As the night went on, they continued to get to know one another. Jen drove Jim back to his dorm at Five Towns College and sealed the evening with a kiss (Jim's first kiss ever)! They agreed to become boyfriend and girlfriend that night and Jim went home for 6 weeks, where they were separated by 180 miles. Their relationship grew over the next several years and after summers and school breaks long distance, when Jim graduated college in May 2017, they moved in together!

Part Two

In March 2020, when the COVID-19 pandemic hit, the couple were forced to work from home together for a month. It was a difficult time, but a turning point in their relationship. Jim began to realize that if they could get through that difficult time together, they could get through anything. That spring, he began talking to his parents about the possibility of proposing to Jen. Over that summer, Jim wined and dined Jen's parents and asked both for their permission and blessing to marry her. They gave their approval. August 22, 2020, Jen, Jim, and friends celebrated Jen's 28th birthday with a Renaissance Faire themed birthday party, complete with foam axe throwing, and a kissing arch! (Jen's favorite part of the renaissance faire is the kissing bridge and it was her dream to get engaged on it). During the party, a TV was set up and we were going to watch a routine by our favorite renaissance faire performer Aaron Bonk. Little did Jen know, Jim was in contact with Bonk and they created a custom video for the occasion, with a routine choreographed to "I'm on Fire" by Bruce Springsteen. After singing "happy birthday" to Jen while performing the 5 Knives of Deadly Demise and cracking his whip to blow out the candles, he explained he had one more request and that was for Jen to "turn around and say 'yes'." As they all turned around, to everyone's surprise, Jim was waiting on one knee, under the kissing arch! He said the words "Will you marry me?". Jen exclaimed "YES!" Friends watched in amazement as two of their best friends just became engaged. It was a magical day that neither will ever forget. The next chapter begins on September 17, 2022, as Jen and Jim says "I Do!" and officially become Mr. and Mrs. Frasca, after nearly 9 years together.
