What considerations have been given to COVID issues?

Answer

In consideration for everyone’s well-being, we respectfully request that all of our guests be fully vaccinated or test negative for Covid within 72 hours of the wedding. Thank you so much for your cooperation. Options for free Covid testing include Walgreens https://www.walgreens.com/findcare/covid19/testing?ban=covid_vanity_testing, and CVS https://www.cvs.com/minuteclinic/covid-19-testing. Rapid home tests (with results in 30 minutes) are also now available (e.g., Abbott Labs BINAX.Now) and can be purchased at pharmacies or ordered on-line.

Will we have to wear masks?

Answer

Mask wearing is entirely appropriate at all wedding events at the discretion of each guest. We will send notice should Chicago regulations at the time of the wedding require indoor mask wearing or other precautions.

What does ‘Black Tie Optional’ mean?

Answer

For a black tie optional wedding, men can wear a tuxedo, but it's not a requirement. If they end up going tuxedo-less, though, they should wear a formal dark suit and tie instead. Women can go the long evening gown route, but a dressy suit or shorter cocktail dress is fine too.
