The night prior to the proposal, Jim was pretty emotional while saying grace. Beyond blessed with each other, our families and the life we had created. Fast forward 24 hours, we are celebrating 8 years together - crab legs, shrimp, dance party, cribbage and just enjoying the day and evening together. We have dinner going and playing cribbage when Jim shares with me why he was so emotional the night before. He had been going through old emails and came across one I had sent him. The message was - Just to be clear, I WILL Marry you one day. He proceeded to share with me, that while we've been through a tremendous amount in our short 8 years as individuals and a couple, that we've managed to make it through it all and come together stronger and stronger every time. The incredible blessing of our kids, God and the amazing circle of family and friends in our life.. We have more than we would ever need! He dropped to a knee and asked me to marry him. So surprised, I was - "What? How? What? How?" - He responded - "Is that a yes?" DUH!!!! Yes, a million times over!!!! I'm also so grateful that Jim made sure to reach out to all of our kids, my mom and her husband, and my sister and brother in law. It was without question that I would not have said yes without the full support of each of you!!!!! #Love #HeMightBeAKeeper
