We immediately gravitated towards each other when we met at work in London. Years later it turned into something incredible and eventually relocated Jim to New York City in 2017.
On a Friday evening, Chelsea came home from work to find that Jim had set up his camera in the living room. After come some coercing, Chelsea sat for photos with Jim and their dog Harry. Eventually, Jim stopped taking pictures and asked Chelsea to hold a stuffed small furry sunflower so he could adjust 'color balancing.' After a few moments of Chelsea holding the flower, she asked if she could put it down – as she really didn’t like the texture. Jim's responded by asking her to open it as he got on one knee. Chelsea was so excited she doesn't remember the rest, but knows she said YES!
On August 8th, 2020 Jim and Chelsea were married at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, and it was truly a magical day. The COVID-19 pandemic, 5 months of quarantining in an apartment together, a hurricane striking 3 days prior and rolling power outages were no match for their enthusiasm to be stuck with each other forever. Our wedding was better than anything we could have planned or imagined. We are so grateful to our family and friends who worked so hard to make it happen, those who celebrated in person or sent love from afar, to make it such a special day.
