We met August of 1980 at NHC college orientation - our group of friends were made that day. They have remained the same group till this day! The bonds made those years were magical! We have all stayed in touch over the years frequenting parties, weddings , kids births, slug reunions and girls weekends! At college the guys nickname was the Slugs - that name has stuck till this day, Both jim and I were previously married. We both divorced around the same time. It began at the Deutsche Bank golf tournament over labor day thanks to our great friend Alphie who put 1 plus 1 together. The companies we worked at had corporate boxes next to each other ! Jim’s Dad said you should go after that one. That was the start of us talking reguarly to each other. At the time Jim was looking to buy a lakehouse and would come visit me after searching for his own - we were having a blast laughing all the time and getting close. Jim was about to leave on a trip with his son to Australia and New Zealand. Before he left the lake and saying goodbye he told me he “liked me” to which I replied , "I like you too" ( thinking nothing of it ) and he replied “ no I like LIKE you “ And he left on a two week trip,... Shortly after he got home he had a business trip to Chicago and he said lets do a date...a weekend in Chicago! He said if we have a spark great, if not we know we will always remain friends! Needless to say it was an inferno....(and those are Jim's words...LOL) We moved in together and share house in Boston and New Hampshire with our Bulldog (Waffles) and Doxie (Maggie). And 9 years later after lots of fun with family and friends we are getting married! .....Babe i got you Babe!
