Maid of Honor
Anna met Tiffany as children attending Excelsior Elementary School. She has been Anna's best friend ever since. Although Anna moved away when they were still kids, they reunited as young adults during college at UCI. She is a loyal friend with an outstanding sense of humor. She has been the number 1 supporter of Anna's and Jim's relationship and always knew they would end up together. Tiffany has truly earned her spot as Anna's Maid of Honor many times over. Anna thinks of Tiffany like a sister and the rest of the Phams like a second family. Anna loves them back and appreciates how they always welcome her home with open arms whenever she comes to visit.
Best Man
Jim met Jordan at Eleanor Roosevelt High School. They copied homework together every morning and smurfed in Bronze V League of Legends every night. They continued to spend an unusually high amount of time together after high school as carpool mates to community college, work, Frisbee, and parties. They eventually parted ways for college but still saw each other frequently. Jordan went to UCI, but Jim was already driving there to see Anna anyway! The two of them still retain and celebrate their unfunny inside jokes and terrible sense of humor well into their late 20s. Jordan remains a big part in Jim's life, and Jim has known for quite a while that Jordan would be his best man.
Bridesmaid
Anna met Leland at Western University. He is one of Anna's first and closest friends from medical school. He gives the most eloquently sassy remarks you will ever hear from anyone ever. Despite this, Leland is Anna's reliable confidant because his ability to give advice and feedback without judgement is second to none. Although they see each other relatively infrequently, they mutually understand that this does not diminish their friendship. Leland loves sharing with Jim and Anna his latest catch of the day on both Hinged and Pokemon Go. He won't rest until he catches them all.
Groomsman
Jim met Kamile at Centennial High School during freshman year. Unfortunately, Kamile could not easily hang out after school or at night in the same way that boys could. Jim and Kamile instead became close friends through their phone calls and would gossip for literally hours at a time on the phone. When Kamile moved out for college, Jim would frequently visit Kamile's dorm, eat her food, steal her friends, and crash her parties. Kamile is consistently thoughtful, caring, and wholesome, which makes it easy for Jim to maintain a meaningful friendship with her even when their paths become uncrossed for extended periods of time.
Bridesmaid
Anna met Clare at Western University. They became friends when they shared a medical school rotation together at Antelope Valley Medical Center. Clare is an incredibly thoughtful, caring, and supportive friend to Anna. In the short time they have known each other, they developed such a deep and profound friendship. They are each other's bridesmaids at the same time! They share many fond memories of chatting together then falling asleep on the couch while their significant others sit in silence for literally hours at a time playing round after round of Super Smash Bros.
Groomsman
Jim met Aaron at Centennial High School. Their friendship kicked off with a rocky start because in a single moment, a younger dumber Jim loudly, bluntly, and distastefully told the entire school whom Aaron had a crush on. Luckily for Jim, Aaron is a kind, forgiving man who befriended Jim again less than a year later. They remain close to this day and share interests in anime, espresso, and doggies. He has trained Jim on the joys of tennis, rock climbing, weightlifting, and weebdom. Aaron is intensely charismatic and is continuously making new friends. Despite his popularity, Aaron is always ready to catch up with Jim.
Bridesmaid
Anna met Heather during college at UCI. They were club members of the Vietnamese Catholic Club, the "Mustard Seeds." It's incredibly easy to catch up with her because she will always make time for you. She is consistently an amazing friend to all those around her. It's no wonder that everybody is fighting to include her as a bridesmaid in their weddings. Heather is mature, responsible, and has her life well put together. However, she can still beat the boys in their favorite video games. She routinely defeats Jim in Super Smash Bros.
Groomsman
Jim met Gary at Centennial High School during freshman orientation. Gary is the person Jim spent the most time with during high school. He spent many nights at Gary's house, discussing teen life, playing video games, and exploring his brothers' magical plants. Their slumber parties became less frequent after Jim moved away to a different high school, but Gary continues to be a wonderful friend. Jim appreciates how frequently Gary initiates contact with him throughout their relationship and is grateful that they are again spending more time together.
Matron of Honor
Tiffany is Anna's older sister. She is the most exemplary sister, wife, mother, and daughter you will ever meet. She is the ideal role model for her younger sister, Anna and is as perfect as anyone can possibly be. She will always consider the needs of others before her own. Always. Her one flaw is that she needs to consider her own needs a little more. Selfless all the way to her core. She became a mother fairly recently to a beautiful baby girl, Naommi, who is obviously the luckiest child ever. Despite the struggles of motherhood, she is readily available for both Anna and Jim in whatever they could possibly need from doing their taxes, to mediating/translating family meetings, to preparing their cookies for them. For these reasons, she has the distinguished honor of being the matron of honor simultaneously for both Jim and Anna's wedding courts.
