Bumble, what a profile she had. Picture with a dog. Picture of her on a mountain with that stupid cardboard elevation sign. How original. Still she was hot! It was a busy Saturday morning for her skiing, but as a Michigan gal, surely she would've known it was conference play? I asked if she was watching, and she responded with a picture of herself under a blanket watching the game. It was meant to be. Couple dates later we're dating. Couple years of that, I move in. Couple years of that we're engaged. Couple months of that we're in The City of Roses (Richmond, IN. I looked it up. Who knew?). We're about to get married...we're about to get married SOOOOO hard. We can't wait to celebrate with most of you!
I'd like to start by saying I've never taken a photo on a mountain with a cardboard sign, but Jim's pretty adamant that was the case... In the world of Bumble, girls message first. On February 14, 2021 I was settling in for another lonely Valentine's day, watching the Wolverines, and decided to message a tall guy with just okay pictures (that's a good thing, it's a red flag when a guy has good pictures on a dating app), "Hey James! How's your weekend going?". WHAT AN OPENING LINE! We traded messages back and forth for a week before going on our first date on 2/21/21. After a few more dates (axe throwing, snow day walks with Leroy, and some drinks), Jim moved home to Loveland to get surgeries, and we were officially in a "long distance relationship". After axe throwing Jim went in for a first kiss, while wearing his mask... a true sign of the times. For the next year, Jim was dropped off at the Del Taco halfway between Denver and Loveland and came down to my house for the weekends. Jim often joked during that year that he would propose at Del Taco with a ring pop. After a year of meeting at Del Taco, Jim decided to join Leroy and me in our spacious 750 sq ft mega mansion! After a couple years of bliss on Bryant Street filled with a lot of hours laughing on the couch, walks to the park, dinners at Billy's, and El Paso Lasso concerts... Jim decided to propose! He popped the question with a ring pop while on a walk at our local park (not Del Taco), complete with Elvis Presley's "I can't help falling in love with you" playing in the background... a true romantic! Most recently, we moved to Richmond, IN (the lawnmower capitol of the world AND the birthplace of recorded Jazz) for Jim to pursue his passion, College Athletics ("ball is life", "ABC... Always Be Cruitin"). We are settling in to our new home, as huge fans of the Earlham Quakers! We can't wait to celebrate with you all in Colorado in June with El Paso Lasso!
