Can I take Photos and Video During the Ceremony?

Answer

We kindly request no photos or videos during the ceremony to ensure our professional photographer can capture the moment beautifully (We do not want to see any iphone's in her photos). Feel free to snap away during the reception—we'd love to see your photos afterward!

What is the dress code?

Answer

We want everyone to feel comfortable and stylish while celebrating with us at Fort Adams! With the beautiful coastal backdrop and historic charm of Newport, we recommend dressing in Newport Chic attire. For the Gentlemen: Lightweight summer suits or blazers with off-white trousers, collared shirts, and colorful ties are perfect for the occasion. Loafers without socks are a great choice, but we kindly ask you to avoid sandals or flip-flops. For the Ladies: Dressy summer cocktail dresses (knee-length or above), elegant maxi dresses, or fitted silk jackets and tunics paired with slacks are all wonderful options. Choose light, breathable fabrics to stay cool and comfortable. Additional Tips Footwear: Fort Adams features historic and uneven terrain, so we recommend wearing comfortable shoes. For outdoor areas, wedges or block heels will be much more practical than stilettos. Weather Considerations: While June in Newport is typically warm, the evenings can be breezy by the water. A light shawl or sweater is a great idea to keep cozy as the night goes on. Colors & Themes: Soft, nautical tones and flowing fabrics fit right in with the coastal setting. Please refrain from the color white

Can I bring a plus one?

We appreciate your understanding that we are only able to accommodate guests who are specifically named on the invitation. Due to space constraints and to ensure an intimate atmosphere for all our loved ones, we kindly request that only those individuals listed join us on our special day.

What if I dont RSVP in Time?

Answer

RSVPs are crucial for our planning process. If we do not receive your RSVP by the specified date, we will, unfortunately, mark it as a "No." We truly regret not being able to celebrate with you, but we must provide final guest counts to our venue on time, and cannot accept late RSVPs as a result. Your understanding is greatly appreciated!
