“Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him.” Psalm 34:8 After 36 years of praying and waiting, I finally met the wonderful man I’m going to marry! We had to import him all the way from Australia via 5 years he spent in the UK. But, then the Lord brought him to Texas of all places! We have a beautiful COVID romance. Ben and I met just as the pandemic peaked its ugly face. We joke that we might not have met if it wasn’t for it. Both being in quarantine, it gave us lots of time for two busy singles to spare for getting to know each other. It’s been a wild year and a few months, but God has been beautifully knitting us together through some pivotal ups and downs. This historical last year has allowed us to bond in areas that have changed both of us for the better. And, those changes have had a dramatic effect on our selves, our ministry and our love. We’re so excited that we met each other at a later time in life. We have both experienced so much of life, and we really know who we are as individuals. To be real, it is a challenge to meet someone so late in life, when you’ve been doing things your way for so long. It’s also easy to give up hope from heartbreak, or struggle in the waiting for a partner. It’s been a season for growing spiritually, seeing what true love really is, and learning to die to self. We are embracing the change that life will bring as we begin to join our paths and do life together! He’s my best friend, a man of integrity and honor, loves the Lord and others so well, and I’m thrilled to begin our new journey in life together. I love you Ben! Thanks for asking me to spend my life with you and serve the Lord alongside you! And, We’d like to give our sincerest gratitude and thanks to all our faithful family, friends and prayer warriors who’ve been faithfully praying with us and supporting! We love you all, and we can’t wait to share this happy time with y’all. Psalms 34:3
