Colin and Jilli met in Columbia, SC while visiting friends for the St. Patricks Day Celebration. A few weeks later, Colin decided to shoot his shot and texted her "do you like dogs? what's your favorite breed?" Low and behold, the way to Jilli's heart is to talk about animals so he had it in the bag. She told him her favorite breed was a golden retriever, while Colin had to sound tough and said his was a doberman. The rest is history, and you would never guess what kind of dog they have today. Yep! Golden Retriever!
They connected on their love of the outdoors, traveling, fitness, and family. C and J have spent a lot of their relationship hiking the Appalachian Mountains, exploring new cities (they have moved a lot!), and traveling as much as possible while visiting friends and family. Their house is full of love (and fluff)! They have two long-haired cats named Jasmine and Jameson, and an 85lb golden retriever, Quasky. Their favorite nights consist of hanging on the couch, with all three floofs snuggled up with them.
With hiking being a favorite hobby of theirs, one morning they headed to Table Rock State Park and took on the trail. Colin thought that Jilli would never guess what was happening since the hike was such a challenging one (who would expect someone to make their future fiance hike up a mountain for 6 miles on a hot South Carolina summer day to then take photos they would look at forever). They got to the top and embraced the beautiful view with a packed lunch. After lunch, Colin brought Jilli to her feet and brought her to take a picture with the view in the backdrop. Just as they were about to pose for a picture Colin dropped to one knee and asked Jilli to be with him forever. SHE SAID YES! It was a picture perfect day. Colin brought a small bottle of champagne and the two toasted to the start of their forever!
The wedding ceremony will take place at 5:00PM in Rock Hill, SC at the house of Mike and Sandy McKeon in a family ceremony. Unfortunately, the pandemic threw a wrench in a lot of our wedding planning, as we would have loved to have you all be with us on this day. We look forward to having you all join us virtually and share our special moment with us.
