Cocktail Attire
The ceremony will be on the West Terrace, a covered rooftop of the hotel. After the ceremony, we will move to an uncovered section of the rooftop for family photos and cocktail hour (weather permitting). The dinner will be held in the cellar of the hotel, in the Kelly room. In the heart of New York City’s Financial District sits The Beekman, a historic Victorian-era hotel, known for its bold, beautiful nine-story atrium and turn-of-the-century design, architectural elegance and innovative cuisine. Before the 1883 structure was built, this site was home to several buildings with special cultural significance, including being the spot where Shakespeare’s Hamlet was first performed in New York and where Edgar Allan Poe produced some of his work. At its height, the 1883 building housed more than 200 businesses. But it was left vacant in 2001 and was reopened in 2013 to begin construction on The Beekman.
