In April 2011, while I was living in State College, Vince and I met at a bar called the Port Matilda Hotel. Vince was up at his hunting camp and stopped in at the bar for a bite to eat! I thought he was handsome and knew he wasn't from around there. This bar is a bit of a dive bar. Decorated in real tree camo and animals mounted on the wall, but the food is amazing there!! I stopped in that night to get a bite to eat, living alone and single, I think I used my stove once! Vince and I started talking and exchanged numbers. Both us had "484" numbers so the conversation continued to where we were from. For the next few months we talked on the phone and he would come up to "camp" to visit often. On May 1st he came up to visit. We went downtown to the tavern for dinner and drinks. As soon as we left the tavern, the Penn State students tore into the streets in celebration that Osama Bin Ladin was killed. Thank God we got out of town before they started celebrating in the streets or it would have been a crazy night for us. So May first, we say is our anniversary. Our love grew stronger and stronger and then I made the decision to move to Chester County. After 6 years of dating, Vince popped the question on Christmas Eve. It was very special and his boys were there to be a part of it! After I stopped crying I finally said yes, and so here we are!!
