We knew of each other growing up in Roxbury. Jill’s brother DJ and Tino’s brother Vinny were in the same grade and always on the same sports teams which Tino’s dad Harry coached. Our dads were always friendly with one another. Also, Tino’s house growing up backs up to Jill’s childhood best friend’s house. So, chances are, we played together as kids or at least saw each other playing outside. We even went to the same elementary school and were there at the same time. We still have those Jefferson Elementary School yearbooks with both of our pictures in them! #jeffersonkoalas #roxburyromance
We reconnected at the beginning of 2020 in the Succasunna ShopRite when we bumped carts in the bread aisle. The rest is history! #theysaybreadislife #carbsforlife #breadaisle
Santino planned family photos for us and told Jill that they were so that we would have nice photos of us to hang in the new house. Jill thought it was sweet but was also a little suspect since we had jusr taken family Christmas photos not long before. Tino set it up for a photographer friend of his to take the photos. After trying a few locations at the garden where we went, Tino asked Charlotte if he could take a picture with just Jill. Tino got Jill to turn away for a second and when she turned back, Tino was down on one knee. He had an amazingly sweet speech and of course Jill said yes! All of this was caught on film! Charlotte was in shock at what she was witnessing. Then Tino presented Charlotte with a beautiful heart necklace and asked her if he could be her stepdad. #meanttobemangiro #engaged2020
