When we visit Quebec we often park the car in a garage and don't see it again until we depart! We try to drop luggage at the accommodation with one person while the other parks nearby. We recommend the following two garage spaces during your stay. Upper Town (located underneath City Hall) 7 Rue Pierre Olivier Chauveau Garage Lower Town (located in the Old Port, one block from wedding venue) SPAQ Place des Canotiers
While French is the spoken language in Quebec, we have been able to communicate in English without a problem during all of our visits. Rob uses has French skills whenever possible, and Jillian reads every menu and sign in a Spanish accent!
Jillian will be creating a walking tour to follow with all of our favorite spots. She will email is prior to the wedding weekend and will include a copy in your welcome bag!
Please refer to https://travel.gc.ca for up to date requirements. You must use ArriveCAN to provide mandatory travel information before entry to Canada. -ArriveCAN -Passport (over age 16) -Birth certificate (under 16)
Yes! We always make dinner reservations when visiting as the small bistros fill up quickly! We recommend making a dinner reservation if you are interested in a particular restaurant or just to have for an option. Many times we are glad to have made one, and other times we find something along our journey and we cancel our reservation.
The Canadian Dollar is the currency in Canada. The exchange rate is currently $1 CAD = .77 USD. When looking at prices on menus and in stores it's easy to think in USD but remember it will be less! We always use our debit and credit cards while in Canada, just remember to inform your bank that you are traveling. We also take cash out at the ATM when we arrive.
