Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

Yes, we will be hosting a Welcome Party for our out of town guests the night before the wedding. Reference the schedule for more details!

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP as soon as you can, and no later than September 1st, thank you!

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The Yacht will depart at 3PM, please arrive at least 15-20 minutes early to get parking (if applicable) and find the boarding area.

What should I wear?

Answer

The Welcome Party on Friday is “backyard-casual”, you can dress up or dress down as you please. Also, it will take place outside on grass, so choose your footwear accordingly. The Wedding on Saturday is “semi-formal”. Please wear whatever you feel comfortable in. Reference the forecasted temperatures in advance to dress accordingly. We suggest bringing a jacket/sweater in case it gets breezy.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Please only bring a date if your invitation specifically includes an extra guest. Unfortunately, not all of our guests will be able to bring dates since there is limited space at our venue. We apologize in advance.

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Yes! Please feel free to contact us with your concerns and we will make sure accommodations are made in advance.

Is there parking for the Welcome Party?

Answer

The Welcome Party will take place at the Birt Residence at 2205 Shoreline Dr Johns Island, SC 29455 There will be signs and markings indicating where you can park: in the front yard of the residence.

Is there parking for the Wedding?

Answer

The Wedding will take place at The Carolina Girl Yacht at 2408 Maybank Hwy, Johns Island, SC 29455. There will be signs indicating which parking lot to park in for the Carolina Girl. The parking is $15 per vehicle if you plan to drive. The other transportation option is uber/lyft or taxi.

Are you registered anywhere?

Answer

Yes, we have a registry listed under the “Registry” tab on this website. However, your presence at our wedding is the best present of all! Please don’t feel obligated to get us a gift.
