What is the gondola?

Answer

The Cabriolet/Gondola is a standing ski lift that can fit about 8 people at a time. To get to our ceremony, our guests will join us by taking a 6 minute ride on the lift to the top of the mountain. The gondola has open floors, though flip flpps will be provided for guests with heels. Please consider the shoes you'll be wearing, but we'll have you covered in case you forget! Chairs can be provided for guests who need to sit for that period of time. The lift typically moves slowly while allowing guests to get on and off and can stop completely if necessary. Enjoy the view!

What time should I arrive for the ceremony?

Answer

Our ceremony starts at 6:00pm! As it takes some time to get to the top of the mountain, we request that our guests begin to make their way to the lift at 5:15pm. LAST RIDE is at 5:45pm.

What should I wear?

Answer

Formal attire requested. We will be dressed in our best and would love for you to be too!

I have a food allergy. Can I make a special request?

Answer

If you RSVP online, there is a place for food allergies. Otherwise, please reach out to Jill and Mike at mikeandjill2023@gmail.com so we can discuss and the caterer can accommodate you!

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

We would love if you joined us in staying at the Appalachian, which is on the premises of both the ceremony and the reception. Please book early as space is limited. If you are looking for another option, there are more hotels in the area.

Am I allowed to take photos or videos of the ceremony?

Answer

We are having an Unplugged Ceremony so we ask that no iPhones, iPads, cameras, etc. be used. We have hired an awesome photographer who will be able to capture all the beautiful moments of our ceremony. We kindly ask that phones and cameras remain out of sight until the ceremony conclusion. We will happily share our professional images with you after the wedding!
