For hotels,
There's the Newport harbor island resort on Goat Island and then Gurneys Newport Resort. The prices should be lower since it's after Labor Day. There's also the Atlantic hotel in Middletown & the Newport hotel & suites in Middletown. These towns aren't super close but they're options, Barrington, Bristol, Jamestown, Little Compton, Middletown, Portsmouth, Tiverton, and Warren.
