FAQs

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We would love to see our family and friends get dressed up with us. We are requesting a formal dress code for the evening - floor or knee-length dresses preferred, button up shirt with slacks or suits & ties. Please no denim. We also ask that guests avoid wearing colors reserved for the bride such as cream, ivory or white. The wedding party will be in tuxedos & satin champagne dresses.

Question

Am I invited to the ceremony?

Answer

Unfortunately, due to limited space in the church we are not able to invite our full guest list. It will specifically state on your invite if you are invited to the ceremony and/or the reception. You can also check the RSVP page to confirm which event(s) you are invited to. We will also be able to live stream the ceremony on the Facebook page of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, Big Rapids.

Question

When should I RSVP?

Answer

If you are able to RSVP when you receive your invitation - that is greatly and extremely helpful! To RSVP, click the RSVP tab and you will see which event(s) you’re invited to and select if you will or will not be attending. THE RSVP DEADLINE IS SATURDAY, MARCH 29TH.

Question

Can I bring a guest/date?

Answer

Due to space limitations, plus ones can not be accommodated at this time. Therefore, we ask that our guests please do not bring a plus one unless they are specifically listed on the RSVP page under your name. Thank you for your understanding!

Question

Are kids allowed?

Answer

Although, we absolutely love your kids, please note that our wedding will be an adults-only event. We hope you understand and enjoy a night off!

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony and/or reception?

Answer

The church has limited parking spots, but there is street parking available. Please arrive early to find a parking spot and to find a seat in the church. The reception has a large parking lot available.

Question

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

We want all to be present in the moment. We will have an amazing team of photographers and videographers to capture this moment for us, so we will be having a fully unplugged ceremony. We kindly ask that there are no pictures and videos taken until it is announced to do so or at the reception. Thank you in advance for respecting our wishes!
