We first crossed paths our senior year at UT Austin in a Psychology of Emotions class, where a mutual friend introduced us. Sometime that semester, we planned a date to the Austin Kite Festival, but unfortunately it got rained out. Ask each of us why our date wasn't rescheduled, and you’ll hear two completely different stories...Anyways, two years later, fate (and the dating app Coffee Meets Bagel) brought us back together. Our “real” first date almost met the same fate as as hurricane Harvey shut down the queso festival we’d planned to attend. This time, we decided to brave the storm and ended up at a hot dog restaurant downtown called Harry’s instead. From that rainy night on, we were hooked. We spent the next three years together in Austin before Justin followed Jillian to Seattle for graduate school. Over the past eight years, we’ve explored the world, shared countless adventures, and made more memories than we can count. Now, we figure it’s about time to make it official and do the dang thing.
